QUEENSLAND TAKES OUT THE CURLEY CATTLE TRANSPORT STOCKMAN’S CHALLENGE!

After a huge 6 days of horsing around, the results are in for the 2017 Cloncurry Stockman’s Challenge and Campdraft!  With more than 1200 spectators and competitors, the event was a huge success (and Queensland winning the State of Origin again was definitely a bonus!!)

Congratulations to Jon Templeton from Kingaroy, Queensland riding Gennie Ann Woodall’s PETAS DESTINY for taking out the main prize in the Curley Cattle Transport Classic Stockman’s Challenge! It was very close competition with only 10 points between the top 15 horses going into the final.

The competition saw the most amount of entries for the event so far as well as with some great country atmosphere and entertainment enjoyed by competitors and spectators alike.

A highlight of this year was the fierce competition in the Juvenile, Junior and Mini Challenge and Campdraft.  These youngsters are the future of our sport and we love watching their dedication and enthusiasm!  A huge thank you to all the judges in this competition for your encouragement of the young riders in their classes.

A huge thank you to all our loyal and supportive sponsors.  Without you, our event would not be possible!
